This review covers the rock track Feeder – Cement.
This track was released in 1997 on the album Polythene.
The track starts with some guitars. The vocals then come in for a verse. From there, the drum kit comes in. Lead guitars then come in as the vocals continue on with the verse.
From there, the vocals take the track into the main chorus. They ping-pong back and forth with some backup vocals. After that, the track breaks down somewhat.
The vocals then take the track into the next verse. The lead guitars join the track part way through. From there, the vocals take the track into the main chorus again. This is capped off with a guitar solo.
At the end of the solo, the vocals take the track into the next round in the main chorus. After that, the track ends.
For me, the vocals are decent enough. The lyrics are alright as well. Probably the best part of this track is the lead guitars. Not only do they sound great, but they also offer a sense of progression throughout the track.
The ending, for me, is a little bit on the sudden side. It’s not a terrible ending, but it could have been better in my view.
Overall, this has a lot of somewhat decent things going for it. The vocals and lyrics do offer something decent. However, it is the lead guitars that make this track pretty good. They offer a sense of progression and they sound pretty good overall. The ending is a bit sudden. While the way it ends isn’t terrible, it still is somewhat jarring. Still, I find this an overall pretty decent track mainly because of the lead guitars elevating the quality of the track.
