In this seventh instalment of the vlog, I react to a Bloc MP’s defence of Bill C-11 where she says its “worth it” to violate the Charter.
Welcome to the 7th instalment of my vlog. Today, I wanted to offer my reaction to a Bloc MP’s defence of Bill C-11, namely her saying that violating freedom of expression is “worth it”.

The Bill C-11 debate is nearing the final stages of debate. After passing the Senate, then having the amendment that fixes the bill rejected by the government, we are now seemingly in the stages of Royal Assent which is generally the final stage of passing legislation.
MPs from the Liberals and NDP have stated that Bill C-11 does not violate freedom of expression nor would it affect user generated content. Then, a Bloc MP rose in the House of Commons and admitted that it does violate freedom of expression, but defends this by saying that it is “worth it”. It’s a clip that has to be seen to be believed.
