Welcome to the 131st instalment of our first impression video series. Today, we are playing the XBox 360 game, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for the first time. You can check out the video directly on YouTube or in the embed below:

I’ve finally made it to playing this game. Interestingly enough, it was after I played every other major instalment to the franchise. So, I admittedly took a rather curious road to getting here that few have otherwise taken. Regardless, I’ll be yet another gamer that has now played this game.

Another interesting aspect to this playthrough is the fact that this is the first time I played an Elder Scrolls game on a console. My previous experiences have been exclusively on PC, so it was interesting to take on a console variation of this as well. It’ll be interesting to see if that plays a role in how this game plays to me at least.

Anyway, I wanted to hear from you. What did you think of this game? Was it a great instalment to the franchise or are you taking a somewhat more contrarian approach and think a different instalment was better?

For those who have played other instalments, but not specifically this game, what did you think of what you saw? Does this look like a game you could easily play or do you think that this might be a game you’d pass on?

Also, for those who haven’t played this series at all, what did you think of this game? Does this look like a game you could try playing or is this not really your style of RPG game? Alternatively, are you just not a fan of RPG games at all and this doesn’t look like something you’d play anyway? Let us know in the comments below!
