This review covers the industrial rock track Cubanate – Oxyacetalene (Instrumental).
This track was released in 1998 on the Gran Turismo CD. It’s an instrumental version of the 1994 version. We are reviewing the instrumental version here.
This track is largely an instrumental rock track. While it contains a few minor electronic elements, it is still a rock track at its core.
It starts with a small effect, but shortly after that, it brings in the drums and bassline. There is a transition part before it goes right into the main chorus. This is where the track goes into high energy rock.
There is an additional transition part before it goes back into the main chorus again. While this may be a little repetitive on fist blush, the third transition incorporates several new effects that keep the track fresh. This transition also happens to be particularly long, but it eventually falls back into the main chorus again.
On thing I will say is that this track does have a little bit of a repetition problem. A little more variance to the track would have helped this one. Still, in this case, it’s a rather minor complaint.
Still, this track has great energy and aggressive sound. It still can stand out in a crowd of other rock tracks out there that were made at the time.
One thing about this track is that it has a fairly distinct snare drum throughout that helps make this an even better listen.
Overall, this track has a bit of a repetition issue. Still, the high energy will win over a lot of fans anyway. If you are a fan of instrumental rock music, this track will be a very good addition to your collection.
