We now take a look at what we’ve added to the Wiki over the last month. This is for the month of December.
With so many other retrospectives now available (such as games and music), we now return to our regularly scheduled update. The last update was a slightly beefier update with a mega episode finally completed and more archiving progress being made.
Well, this month is slightly slimmer. We’ve been extremely busy throughout the month. Holidays usually are. As a result, the December update was a bit more sparse, but does have an interesting addition to it. That interesting addition would be the music exploration guide.
The idea came out because people I spoke to have a number of different concerns about exploring new music. Whether it is not enough time or not knowing where to start. Indeed, the dizzying array of music available today can be quite daunting. So, I thought that maybe I should put together a bit of a guide to help people along who are new to this whole music exploration thing. The guide covers what to look for, how to really explore some of these music genre’s, and why it is OK to have different likes and tastes than others. Whether it is actually useful or not, I’m not entirely sure. Still, it seemed like there was a need and that page filled that need. If you have any ideas on how to refine it or have other ideas to make it better, do let us know.
Beyond that, the update really was just about maintenance and keeping up to date with the latest episodes. We’ve updated the Future Sound of Egypt, Fables, Resonation, and the V Recordings Podcast. When we looked, there was no new episode for the Random Movement Podcast, so that archive remained the same.
I’ll also add that I really didn’t anticipate to be still working on the Future Sound of Egypt still when I started this. I thought I’d be onto another show by now. Unfortunately, those mega episodes and the pure quantity of music had other plans. So, we are entering the new year still working on this archive. What can I say? I had no way of anticipating this when getting into this project. I still would’ve done it anyway, but this is definitely taking a bit longer than expected. Still, going to keep chipping away at this one until the show is complete as best as possible.
We hope you enjoy the latest additions to the Wiki and we look forward to adding even more content in the future.
