We now take a look at what we’ve added to the Wiki over the last month. This is for the month of September.
Last month, we released out patch notes for the month of August. At the time, it felt like time was stuck on fast forward because opportunities to work on this project seemed to be slipping away from me. However, a small amount of work was done on the back archive of the relatively new addition to the Wiki, Group Therapy.
Since then, things have been relatively quiet on this front. Well, simply put, the Bill C-11 hearings ultimately soaked up all the time. Even more unnerving, it looks like these hearings aren’t going to be slowing down, either. Nevertheless, it is a very worthy cause of trying to protect Canadian streamers and digital first creators from a law that could effectively wipe out the whole industry in the country. This, of course, affects us as well, but not to the same severity as some other creators out there. Still, the fight carries on.
As you no doubt took note by now, though, there was no patch notes released on the 1st. In fact, I went all the way up to the 16th of this month before I finally had a chance to sit down and get this work done. That’s just how crazy the news has been. Still, thanks to a Senate break, I managed to finally get this aspect of the site completed. So, no, I didn’t forget about it, it just took an unusual amount of time to get to was all.
You probably have suspected this by now, but no, I didn’t get any back archive work done. I had hoped to get a little bit done this month, but no dice. So, instead, I focused on the basics. As I found out the hard way, the basics was a lot more involved this month than expected. This is, in part, thanks to how long it took to get to working on this patch. A larger delay meant more episodes needed to be coded out and published. Still, I got all the currently active shows completed. Those are, of course, Synth City, Future Sound of Egypt, Fables, Resonation, and the V Recordings Podcast. No new episode for the Random Movement Podcast this patch, so that archive remains up to date as-is.
That leaves us with Group Therapy. All the latest episodes are in including all the information I could find for the monstrosity that was Group Therapy 500. There might be more information getting discovered over the next few weeks of this special since it’s so fresh, so, we’ll try to keep an eye on things on that front for any developments. Also, since it’s a special, it’s not a surprise that there are large information gaps as well. Still, we did the best we could with what we had to work with.
While there was no back archive work done, this patch did feel quite sizable anyway despite that. I hope you enjoy the latest data added and look forward to trying to add more content in the future (I can only hope that this is possible anyway. I’m kind of at the mercy of the news section right now).
