Welcome to the 165th instalment of our first impression video series. Today, we are playing the Steam game, Fallout 4 for the first time. You can check out the video directly on YouTube or in the embed below:

So far, playing these Fallout games have been a bit of a bumpy road. With Fallout 3 not working at all and Fallout: New Vegas being a very buggy mess, I decided to give this game a try to see if things have since improved.

I definitely noticed that there is a lot being carried over from New Vegas. There’s the familiar Pipboy system, the open world map, the compass, the stats, and many other elements that I’ve been noticing that are quite familiar. Indeed, a lot has been tweaked as well. I couldn’t tell while recording this video if they are necessarily improvements or not, but they were certainly noticeable. I’ll probably find out later as I get deeper into the game if they are for the better or not.

So, I wanted to hear from you on your thoughts on this game. Was this a great game worth playing or did you think there are other games that are more worth people’s time?

For those who have played other games, but not necessarily this one, what did you think of what you saw? Does this look comfortably familiar and a game you are itching to try or do you think there are better games in this franchise that deserve more attention?

Also, for those who haven’t played this game before, what did you think of what you saw? Does this look like a game that might be of interest to you or does this one look a bit too slow paced and/or complicated? Let us know in the comments below!

This video is part of our first impression video series. Below is a list of 50 of the previously made first impression video’s we’ve made in the past:
