I didn’t quite get a chance to say it in the video, but as of this recording, I’ve been having a great time with Fallout 4. I didn’t quite get to finishing that game necessarily, but after over 160 hours of playing, I think I got a reasonably good idea of what it’s like playing that game at this point.
One of the things I was curious about in getting in to this game was how much would change and how much would stay the same. So far, though, there is a lot that is very similar here. At the same time, once I dig beneath the surface, I could tell that there are some differences. For instance, it looks like you need to separately replenish food and water along with maintaining health and keeping the rads down. What’s more, the perks system has been greatly reworked from the previous game as well.
I’m also noticing that things might have changed with settlements, though I don’t know to what extent as of yet. This will be something I’ll no doubt further explore in the game.
Still, there are plenty of similarities throughout the game from Fallout 4. There’s Action Points, Radaway, Stimpacks, and even the general design of the Pipboy is quite similar as well. So, at the very least, the game has a very familiar feel to it as well.
For those of you who have played this game, what are your thoughts? Was this a really fun and immersive game that you could spend hours upon hours playing or did you find this game to be a letdown in some way?
For those who haven’t played this game, but have played other Fallout games, what are your thoughts on what you saw? Does this look like a game with a familiar feel or does it look like it complicated some aspects that make this game seem a little offputting?
Also, for those who have never played any of the Fallout games, what are your thoughts on what you saw? Does this look like an interesting game with lots of different things to check out or does it look a bit much to you? Let us know in the comments below!
