Welcome to the 193rd instalment of our first impression video series. Today, we are playing the Playstation 4 game, Far Cry 5 for the first time. You can check out the video directly on YouTube or in the embed below:

It’s been a while since I was able to check out this franchise, but I finally made a return to check out another instalment. This one was interesting because while other instalments took place in other parts of the world (fictionally, of course), this game takes place in the US. So, it was an interesting stylistic choice that got me curious to see how it played.

I did play further into the game and found out that you can swim under the boathouse to circumvent the locked door. Also, the tower does open up the map, but I needed to complete other objectives first before that happened. I apparently skipped ahead a little, but had the right idea.

For those who have played this game, what did you think of this one? Was this another great entry in the franchise or is it too much of a case of more of the same?

For those who have played other entries in this franchise, but not this one, what do you think of what you saw? Does this look like an interesting addition to the franchise or does the fact that it takes place in the US seem offputting to you?

Also, for those who have never played any of the Far Cry games, what did you think of what you saw here? Does this look like an interesting and immersive experience wait to be explored or do you think there’s just too much going on for you? Let us know in the comments below!

This video is part of our first impression video series. Below is a list of 50 of the previously made first impression video’s we’ve made in the past:
