First Impression: Forza Horizon 5 (XBox One)

Welcome to the 159th instalment of our first impression video series. Today, we are playing the XBox One game, Forza Horizon 5 for the first time. You can check out the video directly on YouTube or in the embed below:

There’s a certain bittersweet aspect to getting to play this game.

On the one hand, I’m really excited to present to you the newest game yet on the channel. What’s more, I’ve been looking forward to playing this game for quite some time now.

On the other hand, this is the last game in this spinoff franchise (as of this writing), so after I play this one, I’ll be like everyone else and waiting for the next Forza Horizon game… whenever it gets made.

Still, this whole series has been quite the journey. Being able to play the full Horizon series 1-5 has definitely been a lot of fun. I, for one, am glad to have been able to experience this whole series.

I was a bit nervous progressing through the series because I heard from others that the series dropped off in quality after a while. Different people had different opinions on when, though. I’ve heard people say that the series peaked out at 2 while others say it peaked out at 3. Others still said that 4 is where it’s at and it goes downhill from there. What I will say to that now is that 1-4 are all great games and each one of them have their strengths and weaknesses. Still, if you get a chance to play the whole series, definitely do so – especially if you are a racing game fan. I had loads of fun and I’m sure you will too.

I’m excited to see what the rest of this game has in store for me in the mean time, so I’m looking forward to giving this series one last round (maybe for a while at least).
