Welcome to the 171st instalment of our first impression video series. Today, we are playing the Playstation 4 game, Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare for the first time. You can check out the video directly on YouTube or in the embed below:

One of the games sitting in my collection that I was really looking forward to playing was this game. I’ve heard a lot of good things about it, so I was actually pretty excited to finally have a chance to play it.

So, you can imagine my immense disappointment when I got everything updated and installed that I was confronted with a notification that said that the only way to play it is with a Playstation Plus account. That is a subscription service where you pay money. From a customer perspective, I personally had a problem with this because I have already payed for the physical copy of the game. If I paid for the physical game, I expect some value out of it. Whether that is some single player features or maybe even a few months free to play. Unfortunately, this game offers neither and it’s either paying a second time to play the game or you’re not playing at all.

So, my response to this is to say, “No, I don’t think I will play this game, then.” Call it whining that I refuse to pay twice for a single game if you want, but I don’t agree with this at all. To me, it’s a form of customer abuse and I don’t find it acceptable.

So, I wanted to hear from you. What did you think of this game? Was this a great game that’s worth the two prices of admission or did you think it’s over rated? Let me know in the comments below!
