Welcome to the 157th instalment of our first impression video series. Today, we are playing the Playstation 3 game, Sacred 3 for the first time. You can check out the video directly on YouTube or in the embed below:

While I heard that this franchise didn’t end on a very high note, I was curious enough to give this final game in the franchise a playthrough. One thing I did notice right away was the sudden linear nature of the game as a whole. Earlier Sacred games took a very open world approach with loads of objectives for you to complete. This one definitely moved away from that formula.

Not shown in the video is the ability to travel from level to level on an overworld map. Mainly, you select a level and take that level on. So, something somewhat similar to some earlier Mario or Donkey Kong games.

The controls going from a PC game to a PS3 took a bit of getting used to, but otherwise, I’m definitely looking forward to how well this game plays later on.

For those who have played this game, what did you think? Was this a rather fun action RPG game for you or did you find this one to be a bit of a letdown?

For those who have played other Sacred games, but not this one, what are your thoughts on what you saw? Is this a game that you would’ve really liked to have tried or does this look a bit too repetitive for you?

Also, for those who haven’t played any of the Sacred games, what are your thoughts on what you saw? Does this look like something you might be interested in playing to kill some time or does this look like one of those games you’d pass on? Let us know in the comments below!

This video is part of our first impression video series. Below is a list of 50 of the previously made first impression video’s we’ve made in the past:
