First Impression: Star Wars Battlefront (Playstation 4)

Welcome to the 175th instalment of our first impression video series. Today, we are playing the Playstation 4 game, Star Wars Battlefront for the first time. You can check out the video directly on YouTube or in the embed below:

This is one of those games that I heard a lot about, heard high praise for, but never really played myself. That, of course, is changing today as I am now getting around to playing through this game.

One thing that immediately jumped out at me was that, at least at first, the controls did feel nice to handle. While there are first person shooter elements and flight simulation elements, both elements didn’t really feel out of place or cheaply put together. Yes, I was struggling a little with the controls, but that is largely attributed to me not playing the game before ever more than anything else.

While it was mostly training missions that I explored in the game, the hope for me is that I can explore even further into the game and experience everything that this game has to offer. So far, though, the game is looking promising to me.

So, my questions are for you. If you’ve played this game already, what did you think? Was this an incredible experience for you as so many others have said or do you find yourself going against the grain a little and think that there are other games out there that are better?

For those who have played other Star Wars games, but not this one, does this look like a game you’d be interested in playing or do you have other titles in mind that you’d rather play?
