An Ontario judge has frozen the funding destined to convoy terrorists have been frozen. Manpower problems are reaching critical.
The convoy terrorist occupation that has plunged parts of Canada into mob rule appears to be getting backed into a corner. While the media seems to be suggesting early on in the day that the terrorists are still making ground in capturing more territory away from Canada, problems from the inside appear to be reaching critical proportions.
Perhaps the big story is the fact that an Ontario judge has frozen more than $8 million in the GiveSendGo campaign for the terrorists. If this is successfully enforced, this puts a major dent in the terrorists finances. From The Globe and Mail:
The Ontario government says it has successfully petitioned a court to freeze access to millions of dollars donated through online fundraising platform GiveSendGo to the convoy protesting COVID-19 restrictions in Ottawa and at several border crossings.
The province obtained an order from the Superior Court of Justice that prohibits anyone from distributing donations made through the website’s “Freedom Convoy 2022″ and “Adopt-a-Trucker” campaign pages, said a spokeswoman for Premier Doug Ford.
Ivana Yelich said the order binding “any and all parties with possession or control over these donations” was issued Thursday afternoon. She cited a section of the Criminal Code that allows the attorney general to apply for a restraint order against any “offence-related property.”
GiveSendGo, for its part, appears to be defiant of the court order:
GiveSendGo posted a statement on Twitter Thursday night about its “Freedom Convoy” campaign.
“Know this! Canada has absolutely ZERO jurisdiction over how we manage our funds here at GiveSendGo,” it said.
“All funds for EVERY campaign on GiveSendGo flow directly to the recipients of those campaigns, not least of which is The Freedom Convoy campaign.”
There’s plenty of levers that can be pulled to block the funding. For instance, if the funding made its way to a Canadian bank, then that funding could be stopped right at the bank. What’s more is that international transactions could be made a whole lot harder by this company somewhere down the line.
The only thing this leaves is cryptocurrencies. This may be the last avenue remaining for the terrorists to receive funding. Either way, the more this shady organization defies court orders, the more problems it may face in the future in their efforts to continue functioning.
Most Money Comes from Foreign Donors
As we earlier noted, the terrorists are largely being backed by foreign money, largely from US right wing extremists. A new analysis is piling on further evidence that this is a foreign funded terrorist operation. From CTV:
Donations to the Freedom Convoy 2022 page on the Christian website GiveSendGo from those who say they are in the U.S. may actually outnumber donations from Canadians, with Americans reached by CTV News saying they are donating because they are finding common cause with the Canadian truckers.
Of those, about 35 per cent were anonymous donations, or clearly pseudonyms, such as “Justin Trudeau.”
Of the remainder, CTV News counted those who declared their location or made it clear what country they were from — about 10 per cent. Among the names listed are “Buckhorn Texans for Freedom from Government,” and “The Republican Club of Lakeland, Florida.”
In that smaller sample, Canadian donations accounted for about 36 per cent of the money gained. Small amounts came from people who said they were in the U.K., Germany, Australia and Hong Kong, with donations coming from as far away as Latvia and Japan, the records show.
But dwarfing them all were donations from those who said they were in the United States — about 52 per cent of identifiable donations.
while there were a few other countries named, such as Australia and Germany, the US simply dwarfs the other countries with who is backing these terrorists.
American Sources Flooding 911 Call Centres
While there is plenty of foreign interference in terms of money, it seems that American right wing extremists are also attempting to paralyze 911 call centres with bogus phone calls. From Global News:
Ottawa police said Thursday that a significant amount of calls that “almost jammed” the city’s 911 phone system on Wednesday evening came from U.S. addresses.
“They were coming in from the United States,” Ottawa police chief Peter Sloly said in a news conference Thursday.
“Not exclusively, but significantly from United States addresses.”
Police reported earlier Thursday that there was a “concerted effort to flood” 911 lines.
“This endangers lives and is completely unacceptable,” the police service said.
Indeed, this endangers the lives of Canadian’s even further. Of course, as we’ve seen in the past, the terrorists have no regard for basic human life and are only acting in their own self interest. That was made clear when the terrorists blocked a diabetic from obtaining medical care despite the plea from a relative. So, the idea that there is no moral bottom doesn’t really surprise us.
Children Being Used As Human Shields
Another tactic that seems to be used by the terrorists is the use of children as human shields in an effort to thwart police efforts. This was earlier noted where police were reportedly working with child welfare organizations to deal with the situation.
A picture has turned up showing just how far these terrorists are willing to go, however:
Many Canadian’s have expressed horror and dismay at the picture and called for action to protect the children seemingly put in harms way for political gains.
Pressure Increases to Reopen the Ambassador Bridge
While the US has been largely observing the situation and staying in contact with Canada in the past, it seems that the pressure to re-open has built to the point where the Biden Administration is now speaking out. The US President’s calls have been more open as of late.
This pressure seems to be getting Conservative premier, Doug Ford, to work with Liberal Federal Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, to more openly cooperate an move forward with finally putting an end to the terrorist occupation of the bridge. From Oakville News:
Premier Doug Fords press release states
“The ongoing illegal occupation and blockade happening in Ontario must stop. The Ambassador Bridge is one of the most vital trade corridors in our country.
The damage this is causing to our economy, to people’s jobs and their livelihoods is totally unacceptable. We cannot let this continue.
I have spoken to both Mayor Drew Dilkense and Mayor Mike Bradley and told them the province is ready to provide any support we can offer.
I remain confident that our police forces in Ontario, along with Royal Canadian Mounted Police and Canadian Border Services Agency, will take the appropriate steps to address the evolving situations in our cities and bring them to an end.”
Ford is also authorizing additional resources to fight the terrorist occupation. From CP24:
The Toronto Police Services Board has given its nod to an operational plan for dealing with another possible round of convoy protests in the city this weekend.
The board held a closed-door meeting Thursday to be briefed by Toronto Police Chief James Ramer on the plan for managing this weekend’s anticipated “Freedom Convoy” protests.
“Board Members were briefed on the details of the operational plan, including the priorities and objectives for the operation, and had opportunities to ask questions of the chief and obtain further information,” the board said in a statement released following the meeting Thursday afternoon.
As part of recommendations adopted by the board following the raucous G20 summit in Toronto back in 2010, the board agreed that it has a responsibility to inform itself about the relevant operational plans for a major event in the city.
“The anticipated ‘Freedom Convoy’ planned for this weekend meets this threshold,” the board said in its release.
Convoy Occupation in Toronto a Bust
Yesterday, we reported on word that the insurgents were planning to appear in Toronto. In response, Toronto police blocked off highways in anticipation of this convoy. From the CBC:
Toronto police have closed a roadway near Queen’s Park on Wednesday because of social media posts announcing possible demonstrations by large vehicles in the city.
The closure comes a few days after a large protest against public health measures meant to curb the spread of COVID-19 took place in the downtown core.
Queen’s Park Circle from College Street to Bloor Street was still closed as of Wednesday night as of 10 p.m., according to Const. David Hopkinson, spokesperson for the Toronto Police Service. Foot traffic is allowed.
Insp. Michael Williams told reporters on Wednesday afternoon that police developed a plan over the last several days that makes public safety a priority and limits disruptions to the city.
“Part of that planning includes our ability to scale our operations up or down as needed,” he said.
“Out of an abundance of caution, the service made the operational decision this morning to secure the area surrounding Queen’s Park and close Queen’s Park Circle,” he added.
Since those reports came out, we haven’t seen any reports that the convoy descended onto the city. As a result, it looks like those plans went south.
Terrorist Communications Getting Locked Down
Meanwhile online, it seems that there is a growing appetite for the terrorists to try and lock down their communication networks. Bans have been apparently issued in what appears to be an effort to try and stem the leaks coming out of their networks. Some were calling these efforts to try and eliminate moles in their group.
Fortunately for us, the convoy occupiers still suck at security, so we are able to continue to report on what we’re learning from their communication networks despite the bans and lockdowns.
After the bans were handed out, it seems that members were less than happy with their moderators and their administrators. Some in the chat rooms were angry that the moderators were lax in their efforts. The moderators and administrators pushed back, defending themselves. In some cases, it led to some staff turnover in their chats while other parts of the network remained unaffected after tensions eased off.
There were also plenty of other arguments including swearing in the open communication lines.
Their leadership is also noting an increase in tensions between police. This after a public exchange between the Ambassador Bridge “negotiator” kept telling police that they weren’t going anywhere despite warnings of arrest. Still, others were trying to urge their lower minions to “hold the line”.
COVID-19 Symptoms Appears in the Chats
In another part of the communications obtained by Freezenet, one supporter was heard wheezing and being short of breath. The supporter said that her voice isn’t quite as loud as it used to. Other terrorists tried to tell her to remain calm. Still, this sounded like an increasingly bad case of COVID-19.
This, of course, jives with earlier reports we’ve seen that suggests that COVID-19 might be spreading through their ranks. As time goes on, assuming that the individual in question did have COVID-19, it is very likely that these cases will only increase. With no social distancing and face masks, the virus is probably spreading like wildfire right now and the symptoms will only continue to appear elsewhere. After all, we are in week 3, so if symptoms are appearing, those transmissions started at the very beginning of the convoy – right before they threw their wild parties on the streets.
Manpower Issues Forcing Retreats
Another aspect of the communications heard by Freezenet is that manpower problems are continuing to persist. For the terrorists, they were hoping to continue locking down every street. Unfortunately, some intersections were being brought down to as little as one measly truck. The lack of reinforcements caused some of the terrorists to be nervous. Organizers were making the call to pull them back out of safety.
So, it looks like more minor roadways might have been left abandoned in their occupation in favour of what they consider more strategic locations in Ottawa.
Morale Issues Continue to Plague Organizers
Because of the manpower issues, it seems that organizers are also trying to find ways of taking over large infrastructure like the Ambassador Bridge. Because of the hit they took with the inability to invade Toronto, they are looking to capture smaller targets. Still, many in the lower ranks are feeling like momentum has been decreasing and, in fact, putting them on their heels. Between the court injunctions, the increase in police presence, and the lack of any progress in not only capturing more Canadian property, it is becoming increasingly difficult to celebrate what gains have been made. Still, organizers are urging them to “hold the line” despite the growing threats to their occupation.
Failed Attempted Hijacking of Ottawa International Airport
With the Toronto move a bust, it seemed as through the airport was a backup plan to raise morale. Apparently, they didn’t get all that far, only resorting to rolling stops at a nearby road to slow traffic. Unfortunately for the terrorists, COVID-19 has meant that air travel is quite light and what disruptions there were didn’t have as many widespread consequences. From City News:
Ottawa’s International airport is the latest to be targeted by convoy protesters as between 60 to 70 trucks circulate the premises.
According to a statement from the Ottawa International Airport, the trucks are riding the arrivals and departures roadways in an attempt to disrupt operations.
“Airport traffic is already extremely light due to the pandemic so the impact so far is minimal,” the airport spokesperson Krista Kealey said. “We are very disappointed that the protesters have chosen to disrupt an industry that has already been decimated by the pandemic.”
The statement goes on to say that they are monitoring the situation with its security and airport policing teams.
As a result, this represented a second major blow to the terrorist occupation who were aiming for widespread disruption. At best, they further irritated a few Canadian’s and effectively wasted their resources in the process for the day.
Third Blockade Hits, This Time, Affecting the Major Province of… Manitoba?
Perhaps the only territory the terrorists were able to gain as of late is a crossing between the province of Manitoba and the State of North Dakota. From The Washington Post:
TORONTO — Protesters blockaded a third U.S.-Canada border crossing on Thursday, escalating a crisis that’s leading automakers to cut production, weighing on the economies of both countries and prompting U.S. officials to call for their Canadian counterparts to intervene.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police said Thursday that the Emerson crossing between Manitoba and North Dakota was “shut down,” after a large convoy of vehicles and farm equipment blocked traffic in both directions. Demonstrators protesting vaccine mandates and coronavirus restrictions have also blockaded border crossings at Coutts in Alberta and the Ambassador Bridge.
This, of course, isn’t really a major crossing to begin with. What’s more is that it is governed by a Progressive Conservative Party. So, basically, the political climate is already somewhat more friendly to the terrorists in the first place, though it is worth noting that the premier has condemned the symbols of hate seen in the convoy.
Generally speaking, the cross point is largely just a road and a metal sign post welcoming visitors to Canada in the middle of an open field. As a reuslt, it is largely a soft target in the first place. Word is that only a few dozen vehicles showed up to close the border. From CTV:
A few dozen rigs were blocking traffic in both directions, only allowing livestock trucks through, said David Carlson, reeve of the Emerson-Franklin rural municipality.
“This is not a slow-roll protest. Things are completely blocked right now,” Carlson said.
The blockade could affect emergency response times, Carlson said, because municipalities on both sides of the border area share duties. The road into Emerson from Highway 75, just north of the border, remained open.
RCMP urged motorists to avoid the area.
While the blockade seems quite a bit more trivial, it wasn’t trivial for one driver trying to drive his sister to the hospital. From CTV:
A Manitoba man trying to get his sister to the emergency department says he was trapped in a convoy protest on the highway for more than an hour.
Last Thursday, Terry Titchkosky, a 74-year-old man from Morden, Man., said he was attempting to drive his 82-year-old sister to the Boundary Trails Health Centre as she was experiencing pain in her heart and side.
However, as he was driving to the hospital along Highway 3, Titchkosky said traffic was backed up.
“I thought at first it was an accident that happened on the highway, but as I got closer I could see it was a convoy led by a semi-truck in each lane of the highway and a farm tractor on the shoulder,” he said.
“I immediately put on my four-way flasher and honked my horn and tried to get attention and roll down my window.”
Backup to the Backup to the Backup Plan, Throw Another Party in Ottawa
With so many targets either being so soft or targets missing their marks completely, there is increasingly less for organizers to show their minions. In an effort to cover up their recent failings, it seems that they are gearing up for another party now that the weekend is coming. Reports on the ground suggest that structures are being set up again with promise of more loud music overnight.
I know it’s only Thursday but let’s check-in on Ottawa’s nightlife.

The thing is, this could induce more late night honking which is a violation of the current court injunction. Residents are, of course, urged to collect identifying information of the offending trucks and forwarding them to the lawyer behind the injunction. He can be found on Twitter.
Terrorists Swearing in their Own Police Force
Another development is that the terrorists are apparently swearing in their own police force. They are calling themselves the Canadian Common Corps of Peace Officers and are swearing in more members to deputize members:

Some Canadian’s are, in response to this, becoming increasingly worried that they are forming their own militia as well.
While the attempted hijacking of more Canadian infrastructure did grab some headlines, a lot of signs point to this occupation being backed up into an increasingly tight corner. While Ottawa is still being held under mob rule with no end in sight (still), there is a lot of big business, lobbying, governments, injunctions, and government action that appears to be happening. We can only hope that the Biden Administration telling the Canadian government to do something, this will finally be the fire that politician’s need to be lit under their rear ends to finally act. while there has been plenty of disappointment in the past, there is a whole lot more pressure to deal with the occupation now.
