Review: Christophe-E – Alone in the Desert (Ambient)

By Drew Wilson

This review covers the ambient track Christophe-E – Alone in the Desert.

This particular track was released in 2005 as part of the album The Sun Inside.

Initially, the most prominent part of this track is the percussion’s backed by subtle electronica and wind instrument elements. The track then brings in more prominent wind instruments with more prominent electronica elements.

The overall theme is pretty much exactly what it says on the tin. The feeling of being alone in the desert. I would add that the overall emotion is that of being easily able to survive in the desert as well. Just listening to the track, you can almost feel the sand blowing past your face.

This track is one of those tracks that generates a great overall audio atmosphere. It isn’t one of those tracks that sits back in the background nor is it one of those tracks that completely sucks up all of your attention either. It’s a great track to listen to if you are wanting to create a project by yourself. In fact, this was one of the tracks I listened to when I was first building this site because building a site from scratch can be a very solitary feeling experience at times.

Overall, this track is great background music. It can fill certain musical needs that can’t really be done through tracks that have that wall of sound feeling. It provides a high quality audio atmosphere and is definitely worth the listen.
