This review covers the progressive trance track Cosmic Gate ft. Aruna – Under Your Spell (Original Mix).
This track was released in 2009 along with 5 other versions.
The track definitely has a more darker tone than many other trance tracks reviewed here. It definitely added to the variety we’ve heard here.
A major element of this track is definitely the vocals. The vocals really added to the darker tones. My only complaint was that there was a bit of enunciation issues with it, but this was a minor nitpick.
The heavy reverb added to some of the synths that pushed those elements back added to the overall sound.
There were some heavier synths added a lot to this track, but I thought that they were a little more fleeting then they needed to be.
The lyrics were OK. They weren’t bad, but they weren’t amazing either.
Overall, this was a pretty decent track if you are looking for something darker to listen to. Great vocals, and well realized vibes worked well for this track. There were brief moments where I wished the words were a bit more enunciated, and I thought the synths could have been heavier. Still a pretty good listen.
