This review covers the dance pop track Gina G – Ooh Aah… Just a Little Bit (Motiv8 Radio Edit).
This track was released in 1996 as a single.
The track starts off with a synth with a bit of reverberation. After a short snare roll, the drum kit and bassline come in. The vocals then come in right as the main synth melody drops out.
After that, the vocals take the track into the main chorus along with some backup vocals. The piano also makes a subtle appearance. This is capped off with an instrumental section featuring the main synth melody.
From there, the vocals take the track into the next verse along with more of the backup vocals. After a snare roll, the vocals take the track into the next round in the main chorus. The track drops out a fair bit, leaving just some extended vocals, a piano, and a clap. A snare roll then comes in and the main synth makes a return. Backup vocals also continue to make appearances here.
After that, the vocals take the track into the main chorus again. The instrumental section with the main synth comes in again as the vocals make occasional appearances. From there, the track just gradually fades out.
One plus about this track is that the main vocals can be a bit catchy. How long this remains catchy is another question, but the initial impression can easily be positive for this track.
The main synth melody also sounds pretty good in my view. The continued appearances is also a plus in a way.
Meanwhile, the lyrics are OK, but nothing big. Things can be a bit repetitive after a while as well.
Overall, this is a decent track. The main chorus is pretty catchy and the synth melody is pretty good. Whether or not the track has much staying power is another question as the lyrics are a bit touch and go. So, a decent track all around.
