This review covers the pop track Madonna – Bitch I’m Madonna (feat. Nicki Minaj).
This track was released in 2015 on the album Rebel Heart.
Normally, I would start with the positive elements in a given track, but when there is literally nothing good about the track, there’s really nowhere to begin.
A main element is the melody. Having heard it, while the different notes makes me think there was effort to make use of the synth. Unfortunately, when a synth is terrible to begin with, it doesn’t matter what notes are hit, it still sounds bad.
There are vocals, but there is no moment where they aren’t coupled with anything good. As a result, even when they sound good, it’s ruined by the badly produced synth.
The lyrics are unimaginative and cliche. It’s as if someone learned the B word and used it for shock value. As a result, the only thing to do is roll your eyes at the lyrics. The backing lyrics suffer from being unintelligible for the most part.
This track does try to change things up from occasion in different parts, but when no moment is gained to begin with, it ends up being wasted effort on the production side.
The end of the track features some seriously strange sound. Given the rest of the track, it just sound out of place and wonky.
Overall, I’ve heard music from Madonna that was at least tolerable. This is one of the tracks that I wonder if there is a competition to produce the worst music imaginable and still sell it to the masses. It is seriously the worst track I’ve heard to date.
