Review: The Sundays – Here’s Where the Story Ends (Pop)

This review covers the pop track The Sundays – Here’s Where the Story Ends.

The track was released in 1990 on the album Reading, Writing and Arithmetic.

The track starts with some guitar strumming backed by a drum kit. From there, the track builds up with some vocals. It doesn’t take long before the track goes into the main chorus. The vocals have a soft delay effect.

From there, the vocals increase in pitch during the next verse. The verse is joined by an additional guitar. Towards the end of the verse, the track does pull back as it leads into the main chorus again.

After another verse, there is an instrumental section. This section is brief because the track then goes back into the main chorus. In this case, the main chorus contains that additional guitar. From there, the track then stops.

One thing this track has going for it is the fact that it has such an upbeat mood to it. While it is upbeat, the track is also quite light as well. For me, this is quite fitting for a track that has the kind of themes it has in the lyrics.

A problem I have with this track is that some of the lyrics do get a little slurred at times. This makes the lyrics hard to understand at times.

Still, this is an alright track. It has a nice light sound to it mixed with an upbeat sound. while the lyrics can be a little slurred, it still has that nice pleasant sound going for it. A pretty decent track all around.
